  • All complaints should be directed to the appropriate street director, or the President in the event of a vacant area
  • The initial response should prove or disprove the complaint
    1. Identify the applicable DOR and violation
    2. Obtain a completed complaint form from the concerned resident
    3. Make an attempt to contact the occupant of the offending property and attempt resolution(sometimes a phone call is all that is needed)
    4. Notify the Chair of the DOR committee of the complaint, include the area and unit of the property in question
    5. Turn the matter over to the Chair of the DOR committee along with the information necessary to send out a violation letter and or recommend legal action to the board
    6. The chair will provide progress/resolution updates at the monthly meeting
    7. Retain a copy of complaint form for Town and River records, along with copies of any substantial communication
      1. Separate unresolved complaints from resolved
      2. Resolved complaints will be turned over to the President at the annual meeting to go into Association storage
