An enthusiastic group of members from the Town & River Cruise Club met at the First Round Draft restaurant in Cape Coral on Saturday, January 11. It was a dreary, cool, windy day and morning showers prevented boaters from cruising to this event. We sat indoors and as cocktails were served the members had a wonderful time talking about their holiday adventures and plans for the 2025 boating season. Eventually, lunch orders were placed and the restaurant served us well prepared sandwiches, generous portions and yummy drinks. We hope to be able to cruise to this Cape Coral venue again to take advantage of their docks and to dine on their outdoor deck.
The winner of the 50/50 drawing was Carol Pease. As the group lingered to chat after lunch, we had time to select winners for some gifts provided by Cecilia & Edward Bourdon, the hosts of the luncheon. Carol Pease, Lyn Morningstar, Pam Simon, and Bob Pease were the lucky winners. The February meeting will take place at the Lighthouse Restaurant on Wednesday, February 12 at 11:30 AM. Fortunately, we will be able to boat there since the new docks are now completed. Liz and Mike DiBenedetto hope to see you there to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
