Lee County shares monthly permit activity reports with your Town & River Civic Association. If required approval by the association for a permitted project has not already been sought by the owner, the association sends a certified letter to the owner requesting plans for review and approval. The issuance of a permit does not constitute approval by the association; however, certain permitted projects do not require approval; e.g., interior remodeling, roof repair or replacement, window replacement, hurricane protection. Of the 49 permits listed below, only 45% or 22 required approval by the association. Some of the required approvals are pending. The remaining 27 did not require approval either because the home was in a Unit of Town & River Estates not covered by an active deed of restriction or the nature or the project itself did not require approval. Make sure you know the Unit number of your property. It may be found on the Lee County Property Appraisers website.
