The Town & River Cruise Club’s first social event of the 2023-24 boating season will take place at Snug Harbor on Saturday, October 14. Summer trips and adventures will be discussed with enthusiasm by members attending this event hosted by Lyn Morningstar and Edward & Cecilia Bourdon. Doc Ford’s Waterfront Restaurant will be the setting for the next social event on Nov. 15. Sue and Don Sena will be hosting this luncheon.  Commodore Debbie Haptonstall and her husband Bill will host the Christmas luncheon to be held on December 9 at Deep Lagoon Restaurant. This event will replace our usual Christmas cocktail and dinner dance party since the condo clubhouse is still undergoing repairs. The Christmas Holiday Boat Parade will take place after this luncheon. We encourage all boaters in our community to decorate their vessels and join in this festive event.

The Town & River Cruise Club was the brainchild of Joe and Helen Fiorillo and was formed with the invaluable help and encouragement of Jack Norman, Keith Johnson, Art Hirtreiter, Dick Padgett and Bill Shorak. The club was organized to bring together residents of Town & River having a common interest in boating. The club’s goals are to promote good boating practices; to utilize the advantages of this area as a yachting and boating center; and to promote cruises and social functions. Membership in the club is open to all residents of Town & River, whether you have a boat or not. For additional information or to attend any of the events listed above by boat or car please contact Ken Beebe at (239) 466-1625.
