On Saturday, October 25, an enthusiastic group of members from the Town & River gathered at the Dixie Fish House on Fort Myers Beach for the club’s first event of the season. It was windy but still a beautiful warm sunny day. We sat on the open air deck and as beverages were served, the members had a wonderful time talking about their summer adventures and the fast approaching boating season. Lunch orders were placed and the restaurant served us very well prepared dishes and tasty drinks.
As the group chatted during lunch we made time to select winners for the gifts provided by Cecilia & Edward Bourdon, the hosts of the luncheon.
Tom Byrne won the wine bottle; Deb Haptonstall was the lucky winner of the Peruvian bag and earrings; Dottie, Barbara Reynolds’ guest, won the beautiful blue pendant while Lyn Morningstar was treated to a delicious slice of key lime pie.
The November event will take place at Doc Ford on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 12:30. Sue and Don Sena will host this event.
