The Town & River Cruise Club held its first event of the year 2026 at the Condominium Clubhouse on Saturday January 17th. It was hosted by Cecilia and Ed Bourdon and Liz and Mike DiBenedetto. The party was free for members and opened to guests at a nominal fee and was catered with delicious food by Il Pomodoro Italian Restaurant.
35 people, members and guests attended this event which began at 5 for the social and 6 for dinner. Commodore Mike DiBenedetto opened the event with a welcome message and thanked various members who helped set up the clubhouse for the event.
A raffle was held where several bottles of wine and various candies were raffled off to several lucky winners. Following the raffle a Yankee Swap was conducted by Cecilia where everyone had a great time. This is the first event for the Cruise Club that has been held in the Clubhouse since Hurricane Ian. Everybody seemed to enjoy the camaraderie and gathering with old friends.
The next Cruise Club event is scheduled for February 11th at the Pinchers restaurant in Downtown Fort Myers and will be hosted by Deb and Bill Haptonstall.
